52 killed in Russian mine accident – Moscow News

It was essentially the most lethal mine accident in 5 years in the nation, Xinhua information company reported.

According to preliminary knowledge, there have been no survivors in the Listvyazhnaya mine, TASS reported, including that many of the our bodies stay underground and shall be raised to floor when temperature and methane focus enable.

It was reported earlier that 11 miners have been killed on Thursday because of the ignition of coal mud in the air flow and the following smoke at a depth of 250 meters.

According to regional authorities, 38 individuals have been hospitalized with 4 of them in severe situation, and 13 others obtained outpatient remedy.

There have been 285 individuals underground when the accident occurred and most of them have been lifted out of the mine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his “deepest condolences” to the households of the deceased. Kemerovo Region has introduced three days of mourning from Friday to Sunday.
